Sermon transcripts
Searchable archive of your church’s own preaching — every word, tied to the audio.
Church media teams already record Sundays. The hard part is finding what was said six months later. Sermon Platform turns each upload into a transcript you can search, open at a verse, and publish from the same place as the audio.
What searchable sermon transcripts are
A searchable sermon transcript is the full text of a sermon, kept with the recording, so staff can:
- Find a phrase or idea across years of preaching
- Open the exact moment in the audio from a line of text
- See which verses were read, cited, or quoted — and jump there
It is not a one-off Word file in a shared drive. It is the text layer on top of your church’s sermon archive.
From recording or YouTube → transcript → search
- Upload the recording, or paste a YouTube link. Add speaker, series, and passage when you are ready.
- Transcription runs automatically on every upload.
- Click any line of the transcript to play from that moment in the audio.
- Search words, phrases, or meaning across every transcript — with counts by speaker and year when you need them.
When a sermon needs another language, you can translate the transcript, have someone review it, and publish it with generated audio.
Verses tagged to the moment they were preached
Every reference that was read, cited, or quoted is detected and tagged to its spot in the transcript and the audio. Open a chapter on the Bible page and see which sermons touched each verse. The Pulpit Concordance keeps main text, citations, and quotations distinct.
Sermon Platform Bible (the free desktop app) can show a connected church’s sermons beside the passage. That story lives on the Bible product pages; this page stays focused on transcripts.
After transcripts: website, podcast, API, and apps
Upload once. Everything else can pull from here:
- Website — publish when you say so
- Podcast — a feed for Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and the rest
- API and MCP — for your site, developers, and AI tools
- Sermon Platform Bible — the archive beside the verses
Roles (owner, admin, editor, translator, read-only) and Google or email-link sign-in are already part of the product.

FAQ
- Does every upload get a sermon transcript?
- Yes. Every upload is transcribed automatically. You keep drafts hidden until you are ready to publish.
- Can we start from YouTube instead of a file?
- Yes. Paste a YouTube link; details can fill in from the video. You still approve the record before it goes live.
- How do sermon transcripts connect to Bible verses?
- Verses that were read, cited, or quoted are tagged to the transcript and the audio. Open a verse and go straight to those moments.
- Where do transcripts go after we publish?
- They stay in your archive and can feed your website, podcast feed, API/MCP, and Sermon Platform Bible — same source as the audio.
