Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Blalock Enterprises, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”), which operates Sermon Platform, the public API and MCP server, and Sermon Platform Bible (“SPB”). By using any of them you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Sermon Platform for a church, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
The service
Sermon Platform stores, transcribes, indexes, translates and publishes a church’s sermons and related content. We set churches up by hand; a church’s administrators manage its team and what it publishes. Features change over time, and we will give churches reasonable notice before removing anything they rely on.
Fees
Fees, if any, are set in a separate written agreement or invoice with each church. Features covered by a church’s plan may have usage limits.
Your content
The church owns its content. The church gives us permission to host, copy, transcribe, translate, index, generate audio from and publish its content, only as needed to provide the service and as the church configures it, including through the public API, MCP server, podcast feed, directory and SPB. The church confirms it has the rights to everything it uploads, including recordings, music and the voices and names of people in them.
AI output
Transcripts, verse tags, translations, generated audio, search results and Assistant answers are produced automatically and can be wrong. The Assistant proposes changes that a person approves. Review AI output before you publish or rely on it, and do not treat it as pastoral, legal or other professional advice.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you lack the rights to.
- Do not try to reach another church’s private data, get around rate limits or access controls, or disrupt the service.
- Do not use the service to send spam or to harass anyone.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other churches at risk, and will tell you why.
Public API and MCP server
Anyone may read published content through the public API and MCP server, within the published rate limits. Keep the church’s name and a link to the source with any content you reuse, and do not present it as your own. Sermons remain the property of the churches that preached them.
Sermon Platform Bible
SPB is free and is currently a test release. It is provided as is. Its Bibles, commentaries and reference works come from public-domain and openly licensed sources and keep their own licenses. AI agents you connect to SPB run under your own accounts and their providers’ terms.
Leaving
A church may stop using Sermon Platform at any time and ask for an export of its archive. We may end service with 30 days’ notice, or sooner for a serious breach of these terms, and will make an export available either way.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount the church paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100 if greater.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes will be heard in its courts. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms by posting a new version here; significant changes will be emailed to church owners before they take effect.
